Here are some very basic things you will need to get started. I am not going to go into depth, but this is your typical starting point. I assume since you got to this page, you will understand everything here, but it needs to be spelled out for the novices (as we are using advanced and old-school technology together).
I didn't go through all of my geek-out details, but these are the basics. The links above will not follow these guidelines in the order you see here. Instead, they are set up in functional blocks and you are free to review any one section you so choose.
- You will need a computer with a Windows based Operating System (Windows 95 to present day Surface).
- You will need to be able to save / store / rename files using Windows Explorer or some other file viewer / interface tool. (Everyone organizes files and folders differently and at the very least, this post assumes you have the ability to organize your files and folders).
- An internet connection (otherwise, you'd be reading this post from some other ripped document source).
- Knowledge of Harman Kardon radio / MP3 player for Touring models.
- Knowledge of - or the ability to quickly learn the basic of - ID3 tags and the different versions of them.
- The ability to download software to your computer. (I won't be giving the play-by-play here either).
- The ability to install software to your computer. (I won't be giving the play-by-play here either).
- You will need your list of MP3 files. (I assume everyone can get a list of MP3 files from many multiple various ways and this post assumes you have these skills in place).
- A CD/DVD Drive with the ability to create / copy / burn / or in no other terms "put stuff on" a blank CD.
- Some blank CDs (typically CD-R or CD-RW Ready format).
