OS Rquirements
For the most part... you need a Windows Operating System. You must have Windows 95 or better and I suggest a system with a minimum of 2GB RAM and enough free space to load the software on the internal hard drive of the computer. The software I describe is not specific to a 32bit or 64bit machine and is smart enough to be configured to either.

Rounding way up for safety, as far as hard drive space for applications and downloads you will need...
- 9.0MB for MP3TAG (an MP3 Editor).
- 3.5MB for the MP3TAG installer kit.
- 3.0MB for IMGBURN (a CD/DVD Writer and Burning tool).
- 6.0MB for the IMGBURN installer kit (you're not reading it wrong - the installer is larger than the installed program).
- It's common sense that you would use an Anti-Virus tool, but it you don't have one, start out with Avast - and only select the Free version [300MB installed, 98MB for the installer].
Hardware Requirements - Computer
Your computer / laptop / netbook will require a CD writer or better device to create MP3-based CD discs. You will also need blank CDs that can be written to in CD-R format. While you may choose CD-RW discs, I advise against it. If you can, get CD-R format compatible discs with the 80 minute / 700MB capacity rating. This will fit about 200 MP3 files recorded / encoded at a 112kb rate.
Hardware / Firmware Requirements - Harman Kardon Radio
Make sure you have checked your Harman Kardon Radio for the latest updates. Follow this link to Harley Davidson's site for the latest postings. There is a secondary link to a PDF (also right here if you wish) that has download instructions for a Do-It-Yourself radio firmware upgrade. Don't confuse that with the DIY-PDF Apple iPod update on the same page!
ID3 Tag Basics
Simply stated, ID3 Tags contain metadata about the song that was encoded on the MP3 file. Instead of learning all the deep nuances of the ID3 tagging systems and versions available, click here to review a site that goes over ID3 tags at Version 1.0 and at Version 1.1.
